Commercial planes are able to fly on autopilot so long haul flights can leave many pilots with nothing to do for hours at a time. A select few like to take out their camera and show off to the world the amazing views that they get to see while flying above the world.

The planes are filled with enough fuel needed to reach its main destination plus its nearest alternate, and then another 45 minutes worth of reserve fuel on top of that. The heavy the plane the more fuel it uses so companies put the minimum in to save money.
